A daytime weekend, in a town people live in
A bachelorette party in Cannes, or a bachelor party (hen and stag weekends, the French say EVJF and EVG), is a good idea on one condition: build it around the daytime. The town has the sea, islands fifteen minutes away by boat, beaches with service and tables able to seat twelve. It does not have the nightlife people assume: clubs are few, and the best known does not let costumed groups in.
Our view, from a resident's level: the weekends that work are the ones where the group is on the water at 11 am and at the table at 8 pm. The ones that grate are those that mistake Le Suquet for a bar street. Cannes is a town people live in all year, with open windows above the lanes where someone is singing at 1 am.
This guide says both: what works, and what annoys. Prices were collected in 2026 from the official listings of the operators and the tourist office. We have not tested any of these formats: this is a sourced notebook, to be confirmed when you book.
Seven ideas that hold up
N° 01
Boat
Half a day at sea with a skipper
This is the activity to organise the weekend around. With a skipper, no licence is required: he steers, chooses the anchorage and adapts the route to the weather. Half a day is enough for the Lérins Islands, swim included. Depending on the company, you board at the Old Port or at Port de la Rague in Mandelieu: have it specified. The price depends on the boat and the season, and is best compared by quote, per person and all-inclusive (fuel, skipper, drinks). In July and August, book several weeks ahead.
N° 02
Beach
The concession beaches take group bookings, which settles lunch, shade and bags in one go. On the central Croisette, the addresses in our notebook exceed 100 € per person for a day with a meal. In La Bocca, Le Cabanon falls in a 30 to 70 € range. Same sea, same horizon, half the bill. Avoid the week of Cannes Lions, in late June: a large share of the Croisette beaches is then rented by brands.
N° 03
Thrills
Jet-ski or parasailing, in the morning
At Port du Mourre Rouge, Cannes Jet-Ride Evasion lists for 2026 from 90 to 120 € for 30 minutes per machine, for one or two people, with a 1,000 € deposit. Without a coastal licence, the format is a guided ride behind an instructor. At Cannes Parachute, the flight lasts 13 to 14 minutes and goes up to 195 € for five people on the same flight: once divided, it is the cheapest thrill activity in the bay. Both outings are done before lunch, and sober.
N° 04
Workshop
The classic of the region's bachelorette weekends, and it works for a bachelor party too: a seated workshop, in the cool, and everyone leaves with something. At Galimard, the Studio des Fragrances workshop is listed at 65 € per adult in 2026, including a 100 ml eau de parfum, by reservation. Grasse is about seventeen minutes from Cannes by TER train, but the studio, on route de Pégomas, is not next to the station: plan a shared taxi or ride-hail.
N° 05
Island
The no-budget version of the private boat: a ferry from the Old Port, 15 to 20 minutes, 19 € per adult according to the tourist office listing collected in June 2026. Coves, forest, swimming. The island is a protected natural area: no speaker, few bins, and you take your rubbish and bottles back with you. Saint-Honorat, the neighbouring island, is a working monastery. It is not a place for a stag party, and we are not writing that out of politeness.
N° 06
Dinner
The real question on Saturday night is not the bar, it is the table. Above eight covers, few dining rooms in the centre will seat you without a reservation, and many impose a group menu. Look around the Old Port, rue Félix Faure and the foot of Le Suquet rather than on the Croisette, call instead of writing, and say what kind of group you are: a restaurant that has been warned seats you better than one that is surprised.
N° 07
Night
Bâoli, at Port Canto, is the best-known club in Cannes. The tourist office gives a season from 1 May to 31 October 2026, a restaurant from 8 pm and a club from midnight, with hours that vary according to attendance. The dress code is stated as smart: shorts, sandals, headwear and sportswear are refused. Sash, tiara and costume therefore stay at the hotel. The summer alternative is Juan-les-Pins, about ten minutes away by TER train: check the time of the last train, otherwise plan a ride-hail for the return.
What we'd skip, and what annoys
The costumed procession and the portable speaker in Le Suquet after 10 pm. The lanes are narrow and residential, and sound carries upwards. This is what annoys most, and what costs: in France, night-time noise is subject to a fixed fine of 68 €, and manifest public drunkenness to a fine of up to 150 €. Cannes is also among the seaside towns that ban, by municipal order, walking around bare-chested away from the beaches; the amount varies from year to year, so check it.
The apartment for ten in a residential building in the centre. On paper it is cheaper than a hotel. In practice the evening ends on the landing with the neighbours, sometimes with the municipal police. Take hotel rooms close to one another, or a rental that explicitly accepts this kind of stay, and do the partying outside.
Mid-May and trade-show weeks. During the Film Festival, room prices are multiplied by 3.8 on average according to a September 2026 survey, and tables and boats alike are taken. The dates to avoid are in our trade shows calendar.
When to come
June (outside Cannes Lions week) and September. The water is good, the beaches and watersports bases are open, and you can still get a table for twelve by arranging it three weeks ahead. July and August work, provided you book everything before arriving and accept high-season prices.
From October to April, it is a different weekend. Jet-ski hire and the watersports base close at the end of September, parasailing in mid-October, and some of the concession beaches with them. What remains is a table, perfume and spa format, cheaper and calmer. It suits some groups better than a packed August.
Bachelorette and bachelor parties in Cannes, frequently asked questions
Is Cannes a good destination for a bachelorette or bachelor party?
Yes, for a weekend built around the daytime: a boat with a skipper, a concession beach, a perfume workshop in Grasse, a big dinner. No, if the group is mainly looking for nightclubs: Cannes has few clubs, and the best known applies a strict dress code. For summer nightlife, Juan-les-Pins is about ten minutes away by train.
What budget should you plan for a bachelorette party in Cannes?
Pointers collected in 2026, per person: 19 € for the ferry to Sainte-Marguerite, 65 € for the perfume workshop at Galimard, 30 to 70 € for a beach day in La Bocca and more than 100 € on the central Croisette, meal included. A jet-ski costs 90 to 120 € for 30 minutes per machine. A boat with a skipper is priced by quote.
Can you wear costumes for a stag party in Cannes?
We found no Cannes municipal order specifically targeting stag or hen parties. However, Cannes is among the towns that ban walking bare-chested away from the beaches, noise and public drunkenness are penalised everywhere in France, and evening venues refuse sportswear, shorts and headwear.
Where to go out in the evening for a bachelorette party in Cannes?
Eat early around the Old Port or at the foot of Le Suquet, with a reservation. Then a grand hotel bar or Bâoli, at Port Canto, open in season with a club from midnight. In summer, Juan-les-Pins offers more choice, about ten minutes away by TER train.
How far in advance should you book?
For June and September, three weeks to a month for the boat and the restaurant. For July and August, longer. Book the Saturday night table before buying the train tickets: it is the first thing to run out for a group of ten or twelve.
