Karting, bowling, tennis, golf: sport in Cannes happens in La Bocca.

An indoor electric karting track, 24 bowling lanes, two municipal tennis clubs and four golf courses in Mandelieu and Mougins: verified addresses, hours and prices noted in 2026.

Nothing on La Croisette, almost everything to the west

Sport and leisure in Cannes is not where you sleep. None of it is on La Croisette: the go-karting, the bowling and the big municipal tennis club are in La Bocca, on the west side of town, and the golf is not in Cannes at all. It is in Mandelieu, just past La Bocca, and in Mougins, in the hills to the north.

Our view: for a sporty afternoon without a car, everything happens in La Bocca. The indoor karting, the bowling and the sixteen courts of the Cannes Garden Tennis Club sit in the same district, served by bus and by a local train station. Golf, on the other hand, needs a car or a taxi, a booking, and more often than not a handicap card.

This guide gives verified addresses, the hours we found and prices where they are published. We have not tested any of these places: the figures come from official websites and tourist office listings, consulted in October 2026. Prices change: treat them as orders of magnitude.

Seven addresses to get moving

N° 01
Indoor karting

Cannes Karting, La Bocca: electric, on two levels

Address: 4 rue de la Praderie, Cannes-La Bocca. It is a 430-metre indoor track on two levels, with a bridge, climbs and descents, and 100% electric karts. The official website lists 10-minute sessions: €25 for an adult without a card, €22 then €20 and €18 with the track's membership card (€10 a year), and €20, €18 then €16 for a child, prices noted in October 2026. Children drive from age 7 and 1.30 m, between 2pm and 8pm and only with other children; the larger karts require age 14 and 1.45 m. The tourist office listing says online booking is mandatory. Indoor and electric: this is the option that works in any weather.

N° 02
Outdoor karting

Fun Kart, Le Bar-sur-Loup: the petrol track in the hinterland

For an outdoor circuit, you have to leave the coast. Fun Kart is on the Plateau de la Sarrée, route de Gourdon, in Le Bar-sur-Loup, above Grasse: allow about half an hour by car from Cannes. The site has several tracks, including one reserved for children. Lengths and opening hours vary from one listing to another, and we could not cross-check them on an official website: call before driving up. One point is constant across all sources: the circuit closes on rainy days. Booking is advised.

N° 03
Bowling

Warm'up bowling, boulevard Francis Tonner: 24 lanes

Address: 189 boulevard Francis Tonner, Cannes-La Bocca. The tourist office listing (updated in May 2025) describes 24 lanes over 3,000 m², 4 of them reserved for children from age 4 with their parents, with food served on site. The hours we noted: opening at 3pm on weekdays (2pm on Wednesday), at 10am on Saturday and Sunday, closing at 1.30am, and 2.30am on Friday and Saturday. We found no published prices: ask at the desk for the price of a game and shoe hire. This is the plan for an evening with friends or a rainy Sunday with the family.

N° 04
Municipal tennis

Cannes Garden Tennis Club: sixteen courts open to the public

Address: 99 avenue Maurice Chevalier, La Bocca. It is a municipal facility, open to everyone without membership: 16 floodlit courts, of which 6 clay, 10 synthetic resin and 4 covered, with changing rooms, a practice wall and parking. Hours published by the city: Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm in July and August (8am to 8pm from September to June), Sundays and public holidays 8am to 7pm, closed on 25 December and 1 January. Rental prices are displayed at the club entrance; booking is by phone on 04 89 82 24 24. This is our first choice for hiring a court by the hour.

N° 05
Tennis in town

Tennis Montfleury: seven courts east of the centre

Address: 21 avenue Beauséjour, in the Parc Montfleury, on the east side of town. The city's website lists 7 courts, 6 of them floodlit: 3 clay and 4 artificial grass, with a clubhouse and a restaurant. Hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm in July and August (9am to 8pm the rest of the year), Sundays and public holidays 8am to 8pm in summer, 9am to 7pm from September to June. Information and booking on 04 93 38 99 60. Smaller than the Garden, but closer if you are staying near La Croisette or La Californie.

N° 06
Golf in Mandelieu

Old Course and Riviera Golf de Barbossi: the two closest courses

Golf in Cannes is in fact in Mandelieu-la-Napoule. The Old Course, 265 route du Golf, traces its origins to 1891 and to Grand Duke Michael of Russia: 18 holes, par 71, 5,749 metres under umbrella pines, with one unique detail, a ferry across the river Siagne between holes 2 and 3, then 12 and 13. Riviera Golf de Barbossi, 802 avenue des Amazones, is an 18-hole par 71 designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1991. Green fees found in directories run from about €75 to €120 for 18 holes depending on the course and the season: to be confirmed with the clubs. The Mandelieu tourist office sells a pass combining both courses.

N° 07
Golf in Mougins

Royal Mougins and Cannes-Mougins: pricier, more selective

In Mougins, two 18-hole courses. Royal Mougins Golf Club, 424 avenue du Roi, is a par 71; its website says the course is open to non-members, and prices noted elsewhere run from about €110 in low season to nearly €195 in high season, to be confirmed. Golf Country Club de Cannes-Mougins, 1175 avenue du Golf, welcomes visitors by reservation, with green fees quoted at around €150 to €175. In both cases, proof of handicap is requested when booking, and limits vary by club: check yours before you call.

What we'd skip

What we'd skip: driving up to the outdoor karting without looking at the sky. The Le Bar-sur-Loup circuit closes when it rains, and the road from Cannes takes half an hour. In uncertain weather, the indoor karting in La Bocca is the only sensible choice.

We would also skip turning up at a golf club with no booking and no handicap card. All four courses around Cannes require a tee time, and most ask for proof of level. A complete beginner is better pointed towards a driving range or a lesson, to be asked for at the club, than towards an 18-hole green fee.

Finally, we would not book a tennis court at 2pm in July. The resin and clay courts are in full sun and the heat flattens the game. Both municipal clubs open at 8am or 9am and are lit in the evening: those are the slots to aim for.

When to go

By weather. Indoor karting and bowling are the two fallback activities for rainy days and winter evenings. The bowling opens late on weekdays (3pm): no point going in the morning, except at weekends. Tennis is played all year, with four covered courts at the Garden in case of a shower.

By season. Golf is played twelve months a year on the Côte d'Azur, and March to June then September to November are the most pleasant months. In summer, aim for the first tee times of the morning or the end of the day, when some clubs offer reduced rates: ask when booking.

Sport and leisure in Cannes, common questions

Is there go-karting in Cannes itself?

Yes: Cannes Karting, 4 rue de la Praderie, Cannes-La Bocca. It is a 430-metre indoor track on two levels, with electric karts. A session lasts 10 minutes and costs €25 for an adult without a card, according to the official website checked in October 2026.

Can you play tennis in Cannes without being a club member?

Yes. The Cannes Garden Tennis Club (99 avenue Maurice Chevalier, La Bocca) is a municipal facility open to the public, with 16 courts. Tennis Montfleury (21 avenue Beauséjour) has 7 courts. Both are booked by phone, and hourly rates should be asked for on site.

Where is the nearest golf course to Cannes?

In Mandelieu-la-Napoule, the neighbouring town to the west: the Old Course (265 route du Golf) and Riviera Golf de Barbossi (802 avenue des Amazones). There is no course within the commune of Cannes. Mougins, to the north, has two more.

How much is a green fee around Cannes?

Prices found in directories in 2026 run from about €75 to €120 for 18 holes in Mandelieu, and from €110 to €195 in Mougins depending on the club and the season. These are not official rate cards: confirm the price and the handicap conditions with the club.

Which activity should you choose with children?

Bowling, from age 4 on the lanes reserved for children, and indoor karting from age 7 and 1.30 m, in children-only slots from 2pm to 8pm. Both are in La Bocca, a few minutes from each other.
