The only Bib Gourmand in Cannes, on rue Meynadier, 50 metres from the Forville market. A €41 menu, cash only, short hours: listed here from the public record, with what we'd check before going.
Aux Bons Enfants is at 80 rue Meynadier, the pedestrian street that runs from the foot of Le Suquet towards the centre. The Michelin Guide files it under Provençal cooking, in the €€ band, and it is the only address in Cannes itself on the guide's Bib Gourmand list (checked October 2026). The guide describes a family business opened in 1935 and now run by the fourth generation; the city's official tourism listing names the Giorsetti family.
On the plate, the guide mentions petits farcis niçois, beef cheek daube and rum baba, with produce bought at the Forville market, 50 metres away. The set menu of the day (starter, main, dessert) is listed at €41 for 2026 on the city's listing, and Gault&Millau gives the same budget before drinks. The room is small: 40 covers, 20 of them on the terrace.
The thing to know before you sit down: the house does not take bank cards. The Michelin Guide writes that you still always pay in cash, and the city's listing shows cash and cheque. At €41 for the menu, wine on top, go to the cash machine first.
The hours are tight. According to the Michelin Guide: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 12 noon-1.45pm and 7-9.30pm; Thursday, dinner only; closed Sunday and Monday. The city's listing ends lunch at 1.30pm and adds that in July and August there is no lunch service, with a longer evening of 6-10pm. It also notes a Monday evening opening during congresses.
Turning up at 1.40pm and counting on lunch: the kitchen closes early and the room is small. Coming on a Thursday lunchtime, a Sunday or a Monday. Counting on lunch in high summer, since the city's listing shows evenings only in July and August. And hunting for the restaurant's website: the domain the guides give (aux-bons-enfants-cannes.com) was no longer responding when we checked in October 2026, which is why our link goes to the Michelin Guide page.
We haven't eaten here ourselves yet, so treat this as a sourced notebook entry rather than a review. Our opinion still fits in one sentence: on paper, this is the most defensible Provençal lunch in Cannes, a Bib Gourmand at €41 a few steps from a market, and we'd put it ahead of any Croisette terrace at the same price.
Before going, we'd call 07 68 99 17 89 (the number both listings give) to confirm the day, the time and how booking works, and we'd check the menu is still €41. For more addresses around Forville, see our market tables; for the background on the label, our Michelin and Bib page.
