Four voices, one night, one friend: the aces of French chanson.

Jil Aigrot, Frédéric Longbois, Shanyce and Loric Etcheverry have no professional reason to share a stage. They're doing it once, for their friend Cyril Benjamin Castro, and for the joy of the great French chanson repertoire.

A reunion you won't see twice

The Riviera sees no shortage of 'tribute' line-ups. This one has something you can't manufacture: these four usually tour separately — one around the world, one at the opera, two on the region's stages. They've agreed to come together in a one-off way, for a single night.

The reason isn't a fee or a tour: it's friendship. The concert is a tribute to Cyril Benjamin Castro, and a way to share with the audience the joy of a repertoire they all love — the great French chanson.

The four voices

N° 01
The voice of Piaf

Jil Aigrot

Hers is the voice you hear in La Môme (La Vie en Rose), the multi-award-winning film. A Cannes native, she left the Côte d'Azur professionally to perform around the world — without ever really leaving. In the region she only took the stage for charity shows, in aid of local associations. Seeing her here, in this setting, is no small thing.

N° 02
The Voice phenomenon

Frédéric Longbois

Ten years on, and the only contestant to have appeared twice on the show. He sings everything, from opera to Annie Cordy. A conservatory prize in lyric singing and in piano, twenty years as a leading man in Jérôme Savary's musicals — and soon at the Nice Opera.

N° 03
The rising star

Shanyce

She performs several times a week for her voice and her repertoire in four languages: French, Italian, English and Hebrew. This week she left Mougins with two prizes: best performer in the 13-17 category, and best singer-songwriter.

N° 04
The voice of TV Lérins

Loric Etcheverry

For twenty years he has toured a Claude François show that keeps filling rooms. A familiar voice to local audiences, one who knows the repertoire inside out.

Our take

This isn't a polished revue or a calibrated greatest-hits set: it's a stage built on friendship, for one specific occasion. That's exactly what makes it worth it — and why it won't be repeated the same way.

We won't promise what we don't yet know: the exact running order is being built around the four artists and the repertoire they share. What we can vouch for is the rarity of the moment.

When and where

Wednesday 10 June, 7pm — at the Miramar, in Cannes. The concert, titled « Carré d'As », is presented by the Arts Yourhope association. Entry contribution: €20.

Bookings on +33 6 03 49 11 77. Keep the date: a line-up like this isn't scheduled twice.
