Two things Cannes rarely sells together
A romantic hotel in Cannes comes down to two things the town sells dearly and rarely together: a sea view and quiet. The central Croisette has the first and almost never the second. The streets behind have the second and rarely the first. The whole exercise is knowing which of the two you are prepared to pay for, and checking that the room you book actually includes it.
Our view is firm: for a weekend for two, we would look first at the western side, at the foot of Le Suquet, or at a park away from the centre, before the middle of the Croisette. You get the sea or the silence for real, and you keep the boulevard for the evening walk, which is free.
A note on method. We have not slept in any of these hotels. This is a sourced selection: addresses, categories, views and facilities were taken from the official websites in October 2026, unless stated otherwise. 'Sea view' is a room category, not a quality of the hotel: we report what each property states, and what it leaves vague.
Five hotels for a weekend for two
N° 01
5-star · foot of Le Suquet
Hôtel & Spa Belle Plage, the sea a hundred metres away and a roof for dinner
2 rue Brougham, on square Mistral, west of the Old Port. The hotel describes itself as a five-star '100 m from the beach'. Its restaurant Bella sits on the roof, with a panoramic terrace, and serves from breakfast to dinner. A second restaurant, Shiso, a Japanese izakaya, occupies the gardens of the Spa Villa, which also houses the treatments and the gym. Some rooms face the sea, others the square: the Suite Belle Plage is listed with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean. No pool is mentioned. It is our first choice for anyone who wants the view without the boulevard. Official website.
N° 02
Sea-view balconies · roof terrace
Canopy by Hilton Cannes, the balcony over the bay
2 boulevard Jean Hibert, on the western seafront, five minutes' walk from the Palais des Festivals. The listing by the Côte d'Azur France regional tourist board describes 129 rooms and suites, most of them with a balcony and a panoramic sea view, a rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar, Marea, open from late afternoon into the evening, and an adults-only spa on two levels with a sauna and hammam, plus a heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool. An important caveat: Hilton's official website could not be consulted when we checked, so these details come from the regional tourism listing. Have the view and spa access confirmed when you book. Official website.
N° 03
Croisette · 75 rooms
45 boulevard de la Croisette. Seventy-five rooms and suites over eleven floors: for a boulevard address that is few, and it is what makes it interesting for two. The hotel lists a restaurant with Asian flavours, Mr. Nakamoto, its bar, and a seafront table, Hyde Beach, which has its own entry on this site. The sea view is not universal: the Signature Suite is described with a sea-view terrace, while one junior suite is listed as city view. Read the 'view' line of the category before you confirm. The website does not mention a pool.
N° 04
4-star · 5,000 m² park
Hôtel Château de la Tour, quiet in a park
10 avenue Font de Veyre, in Cannes-la-Bocca. Thirty-four rooms in a wooded park of 5,000 m² that the hotel says is two centuries old, with a large araucaria tree. Rooms look over the Mediterranean, the Estérel hills, the park or the pool. The pool is outdoor, unheated and open in season: the hotel says so itself. There is a bar, cocktails on the terrace and afternoon tea. This is the address for silence, not for a town on foot: the hotel puts itself 'about five minutes' from the centre and the beaches without saying how, so allow for a car or bus ride. Parking is €18 a day (2026 figure). Official website.
N° 05
Palace · 58 Croisette
58 boulevard de la Croisette. If the stay is a proposal, a wedding anniversary or a honeymoon, the Carlton remains the address that says 'Cannes' without explanation. The 1911 palace reopened in 2023 with 332 rooms and suites and, above all, with a garden and a pool that did not exist before. Our advice does not change: to sleep, choose a garden-side room over a room on the boulevard, which never quite goes quiet. Our entry sets out what we would check before booking.
What we avoid
What we avoid: booking a 'sea view' without reading the exact category. Within one hotel, rooms face the bay, a square or the town, and that is precisely where the price gap lies. At Belle Plage, some rooms look onto square Mistral; at the Mondrian, one junior suite is listed city-side. 'Side' or 'partial' sea view means what it says.
What we also avoid: a room on the Croisette in July or August in the hope of silence. The boulevard stays up late, and during the Film Festival in mid-May it stays up all night. If you are set on the address, ask for a high floor or the garden side. Otherwise, the foot of Le Suquet or the park of the Château de la Tour do better for less.
And we are wary of 'romantic' packages with petals and a bottle. For the same budget, we would put the difference into the room category: a balcony and a view last the whole stay. As for dinner, nothing obliges you to stay in the hotel: our sea-view tables are a few minutes' walk away.
When to come, and at what price
The right moment for two: mid-September to mid-October, and April to early May. The light is good, roof terraces are generally open and the town is calm. June works too, outside Cannes Lions week. In winter, Cannes is very quiet and the palaces are at their lowest rates, but seasonal pools, such as the one at the Château de la Tour, are closed.
On price, none of these hotels publishes a fixed list and we do not invent one. Use the tiers in our hotels guide: €180-400 a night for a four-star near the Croisette, €400-800 and up for a palace off season, per double room. A sea-view room sits at the top of its category's range. During the Film Festival and Cannes Lions, multiply by three to six, or pick other dates.
Romantic hotels in Cannes: frequent questions
Which romantic hotel in Cannes has a sea view?
Among the addresses in this selection, Hôtel & Spa Belle Plage (2 rue Brougham) lists sea-view rooms and a rooftop restaurant, 100 m from the beach. Canopy by Hilton Cannes (2 boulevard Jean Hibert) is described with a majority of rooms with a balcony and sea view. The Château de la Tour offers rooms with views of the Mediterranean and the Estérel. In every case, the view depends on the category booked.
Which is the quietest hotel for a couples weekend in Cannes?
On paper, Hôtel Château de la Tour, in Cannes-la-Bocca: 34 rooms in a wooded park of 5,000 m², away from the centre. The trade-off is distance: you cannot walk to the Croisette in a few minutes. Closer to the centre, Belle Plage, on square Mistral, is set back from the boulevard.
How much does a romantic hotel weekend in Cannes cost?
The hotels listed do not publish fixed rates. As a guide, our hotels page puts a four-star near the Croisette at €180-400 a night and a palace off season at €400-800 and up, per double room. Sea-view rooms sit at the top of those ranges, and prices are multiplied by three to six during the Film Festival and Cannes Lions.
Should you choose a Croisette palace for a honeymoon?
If the occasion matters as much as the stay, yes: the Carlton, at 58 boulevard de la Croisette, remains the most evocative address, with a garden and a pool since it reopened in 2023. Ask for a garden-side room for quiet. For a simple weekend for two, a smaller hotel at the foot of Le Suquet gives as much sea for less.
Have you stayed in these hotels?
No. We have not slept there and we do not claim to. This page is a selection sourced from the hotels' official websites in October 2026, completed for the Canopy by the regional tourist board listing. No hotel paid to be listed and we take no commission.
